Preserving Memories

Welcome Ladies! It's a cold, rainy day here and there is a dark gloomy feel about the day. For some reason I tend to feel a need to find ways to bring a smile to my lips at times like this.
I love to sit back have a cup of tea, read a book or page thru old photo albums. This antique photo album is of my relatives. Filled with old photos of people that I never knew makes one wish that you knew more about them.

I have a photo of my parents on their wedding day and I cherish it. I hope my children feel the same way. I paired it with an old pair of opera  glasses.

This is the first camera that my father bought. Oh how times have changed!

Maybe I'll show some of the photos from here one day. Some of the hair styles are a hoot!  But for now I have to go fetch my hubby from the dentist. So until next time cherish your memories because some day that is all we will be, just a memory.........

Here a some great parties to check out! Suzanne is having her Vintage thingie Thursday party at Coloradolady. And be sure to say hello to Doni at Faith,Grace and Crafts she is having a great giveaway for her 100th post.
Also there is Vintage Inspiration Friday at Common Ground with Debra as your hoststess.
There is also Time Travel Thursday at Brambleberry Cottage.

Last of all there is Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home with Cindy as your hostess.

  4. All of those things really look nice together. That's when "box cameras" really were like boxes.
