Fall Wreath

I know it is almost time for cooler weather but with it being 91 outside it sure does not feel it! The  cool night air is about the only indication of fall being just around the corner. I love being able to throw the windows open and have the night sounds lull one off to sleep. I could even hear the soft hoot of an owl calling out for its mate. Living in the country sure has its advantages.
I love fall but I am just not ready! I decided to get me more into a fall mood I would attempt to put together a wreath for the front door.
I really never put together a wreath before it was always easier to buy one but I sure cannot see putting out over $50 for a wreath! So picking up cheap dollar store items I decided to try my own.
I think it didn't turn out too bad for about $18.00. Ok, and maybe a few hot glue burns too.
I just have to find my ribbon I have to make a bow, I just am not sure where I put it. I just saw it last week but now ......
As soon as the days get cooler I will adventure into the storage shed and pull out more fall decor but this is going to have to do for now.

  1. Spotted a huge owl just by the stable this evening. We had one living here when we moved here in 1990´s but it left after a year or so. I´m so glad it´s back. Or maybe it´s a new one. Relative??
The wreath is so beautiful. Why go to a store for a wreath, when you can make this?
    have a nice evening
