Love To Disagree

One thing for sure my daughter and I love to disagree. Clothes, colors, style even decorating. Needless to say, we never agree when I redo the table. We never really have too many problems until Valentine's Day.
I did two different versions. This pink one more feminine with hints of  silver among pearls and gems.
I love the sparkle on these pink paperweights.

I have  "diamond" ring napkin holders ordered but I am still awaiting their delivery.
Plates are from Marshall's. I was tempted to buy more co-ordinating pieces but resisted.

I put my silver chargers under them to pick up the rest of the silver from the tray and silverware.

Now for the second choice.

I'm still looking for a red tablecloth to put under my lace tablecloth. With the weather I have not ventured out to look for one yet.
Salad plates are from Target last year along with more plates from Marshall's.

I also am using my candle holders from Christmas. If something can do double duty, it has a better chance of coming home.
Granted I'm still playing around so who knows what will be the final result. My Hubby asked how many times am I going to change the table!
My napkin rings came in so here I am still playing ! Decisions, decisions.

Now try and guess who favored what and who wins my daughter or me!
Stop over and say hello to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch,
and Beverly at How Sweet the Sound,

and The Tablescaper Seasonal Sunday.

  1. I'm guessing you chose the 'scape with the gorgeous crocheted tablecloth and your daughter went for the first one with the lovely pink touches...? I really like those "love" plates - I saw something similar at HomeSense last year and after seeing yours, I really wish I'd gotten them! I love it that Valentine's is the perfect time to use a lot of your RED Christmas items! Your new napkin rings are so pretty too!

  2. I love both so you both win! The diamond ring napkin rings are so pretty. Love both sets of plates and how they were mixed and matched.

  3. I like them both but if I had to chose, I'd chose the pink one!

  4. Love them both.. two great tables. The ring napkin rings are really a great accessory. What a lovely crochet tablecloth!

  5. I think that you crochet cloth would also look great with a white cloth under it for a white-on-white look. I can't begin to say who chose which tablescape...I have a daughter, too! If I say black, it's white and vice versa. I personally like the first one. Thank you for sharing your charming design designs. Cherry Kay

  6. Both tables are beautiful...I think you chose the one with the peony plates and your daughter chose the more traditional Valentine table done in red and white.

  7. I like the peony plates....the pink tablesetting the best! A little more romantic than the traditional red & white. Thanks for sharing....Blessings,

  8. Am loving the first one. Love the rose plates.
    Very romantic.

Have a great w/end ahead, girl.

    hugs & blessings,

  9. How did you ever resist bringing home more pieces to that pretty china? I would have taken it all home to live with me. The flowers are so full and the lettering is so delicate. I think both tables are very nice, but I'm a pink girl at heart! Linda

  10. Both tables are great! I'd say do both. I like the little bit of purple with the silver. that is really blingy! Thanks for sharing with us!

  11. Your table is very pretty and delicate in style. Your plates are so lovely......I would like to own them myself. Being new to blogging, I am just learning my way around. Please, come to visit me.

  12. They are both so pretty! Laughing about the table decision with the two of you. If I had to choose, I think I would choose the second table as my favorite but they are both just wonderful! It is those big, bold heart plates that I just love.

  13. Both are pretty settings, but my favorite is definitely the pink. I saw those plates at Marshalls last year and started to buy them, but I didn't. After seeing your setting using them, I wish I had!

  14. I like them both too but my favorite is the pink

  15. They're both beautiful! The first one really captures an era gone by as the second is a little more whimsical. (I think you could have even used the tablecloth on the first table under the crocheted one on the second and no one would have noticed.) From reading your profile, I'm guessing you like the first one. But I can't decide which is my favorite! I love them both!

  16. I love those heart shaped salad plates. They are so, so cute!

  18. Hi Teri,

It's a pleasure to meet you and share Pink Saturday with new friends.

Drop by and say hello and "follow me" on my pink journey.

    Have a great weekend.

    xo Cathy

  19. I like them all but partial to the last one. You can set my table any time I won't disagree lol

  20. What beautiful tablesettings! Tres Romantique!

    Happy PS!

  21. beautiful table setting! love it! perfect for valentine! happy PS!

  22. One of my favorite parts of tablescaping is that we don't have to choose! I think that's why I love to tablescape. You get to do it differently each time. Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.
